From the Wingnutosphere….

I dearly hope that the Right Blogistan plays a key role in the reconstruction of the Republican Party:

1) Who do you think is going to win the election?

A) John McCain: 53% (39)
B) Barack Obama: 47% (34)

2) Do you think Sarah Palin has been a plus or a minus to the ticket?

A) Minus: 9% (7)
B) Plus: 91% (68)

3) How do you feel about Sarah Palin as a candidate?

A) I really like her!: 80% (61)
B) She’s so-so.: 12% (9)
C) I’m not a big fan!: 8% (6)

4) The Republican Party did poorly in the 2006 election and even if McCain wins is on track to do poorly again in this year’s Congressional races. If you had to choose between these two options, do you think that’s because they were…

A) Too conservative: 9% (7)
B) Not conservative enough: 91% (67)

  • I had to link to that poll too. If self-delusion were oil, the wingnuts would be Saudi Arabia.

  • An army of hacks.

Oh, please, please, please let them run the show! No Republican could get elected dog catcher for a hundred years.

  • Such surprise findings!

Those trepanning treatments are really doing the trick on those poor benighted patients. I prescribe even more thorough, deeper scrappings.

I like how there are only 73 of 76 responses to, “Who do you think is going to win the election?”
That means three bloggers either didn’t answer, answered someone other than Obama or McCain, or “gave answers that were difficult to categorize.”

At least they are internally consistent. About 9% of the Republican base has a grasp of reality. That’s both encouraging and frightening.

  • Compare and contrast: Sean Penn visited the McCain campaign offices in Raleigh early last Saturday evening and found just two people by the phones. Have the Right bloggers been anywhere near their campaign, or just jerking off to each other’s porn videos?
