This is just a very weird situation, even in the context of the overall extreme weirdness of the whole Trump thing:

This hands thing is still to me the most unbelievable thing about the whole Trump era. Nobody seems to care at all and if it was Biden it would be 24/7
It occasionally bears repeating that under a Dem admin this would be a world historical scandal. With Trump, journalists more or less ignore it, or accept plainly nonsensical explanations (he’s shaking hands so much he had to use his off hand I guess)
A speculative theory that’s been bouncing around the internet for a year now is that Trump may be getting infusions of something, possibly one of the new drugs that have had some modest success in experimental trials in slowing the progression of early stage Alzheimers disease, and they may be using veins in his hands to help preserve mobility (the treatments apparently take a couple of hours).
Would it kill somebody in the White House press corpse to ask a pointed question or three about what’s really going on here, given how farcical the White House’s explanations are?
