I know some people around here have no patience for generational politics. I get that it’s limited and a shortcut from real analysis. OK. On the other hand, these polling numbers………..

It’s the people I grew up with keeping Republicans afloat. And I will have to deal with these assholes til I die, whereas younger people can have hope. Gen X is a shitshow beyond shitshows. I’ve never seen a great analysis of this, but one thought is that a lot of people who thought politics and everything like that was dumb + conspiracy theory interests when you are 20 can really morph into bad things at 50.
It’s also interesting that the 18-22 cohort is significantly to the right of the 23-29 and 30-34 and that was true in 2024 as well, but if you are +23, fine whatever.
In any case, I’m sorry my generation is a bunch of racist scumbag assholes.
