Palantir CEO Alex Karp: "This technology disrupts humanity's train, largely Democratic voters, and makes their economic power less, and increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working class, often male voters. These disruptions are going to disrupt every aspect of our society."— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar.com) 2026-03-12T13:33:54.354Z

I had to listen to this garbage, so you can too.

Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir and capillussetisphobe’s over-arching message about AI programs is pretty standard: The thing that is going to make him even richer is extremely dangerous, will tear apart the fabric of society, but there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it or him. So everyone non-technocrat needs to figure out how to cope with what he’s going to do to them and society.

You bet they all sound like a rapist trying to convince the victim not to struggle.

But that wasn’t perverse enough. In a CNBC clip captured by Aaron Rupar (who has a newsletter, if you’re interested in his ideas) he throws out some Republican talking points in the form of bait for the men’s rights activists: The AI-apocalypse will tear apart society, Karp says. But apparently he means the imaginary one where women have it better than men.

According to Karp, the new world AI order will reduce the economic power of highly educated women (whom he erroneously identifies as the Democratic base) and increase the power of “vocationally trained, working class, often male voters.”

He doesn’t mention who that group votes for. And of course he doesn’t mention what will happen to highly educated men such as himself. His class are the creators and controllers of the destruction, they can’t be victims of it too. He thinks.

Normally I would share an excerpt, but transcribing a quote out of the goulash of his thoughts is too irritating for me and makes him seem far more reasonable than he is. His incoherence, his gestures and grimaces are very much part of the message.

Plus, I watched it so you can too. A dodgy AI program fed nothing but Jackass scripts would make a better spokesperson. But “Support AI to own college-educated liberal womens libbers” is something Republicans can work with.
