You can criticize bad things because they are bad

Judge Xinis has temporarily prevented Kilmar Abrego Garcia from being deported to Uganda:
A federal judge said Monday that she will order officials to keep Kilmar Abrego Garcia in the United States while she weighs a new legal challenge from him over the Trump administration’s plans to quickly deport him to Uganda.
US District Judge Paula Xinis said during a brief hearing Monday afternoon that she’s planning to stretch out an existing hold on Abrego Garcia’s removal so she can more fully consider whether officials are violating his due process rights, including by deporting him to Uganda even after he said he fears being persecuted or tortured in the African nation.
Minutes after Abrego Garcia was taken into custody by immigration officials in Baltimore on Monday, his attorneys filed a new lawsuit urging Xinis to order his release and slow down his removal process so he can have a chance to challenge his potential deportation to Uganda.
As an aside, I know Cheryl discussed this weekend, but can we please stop with this shit:

I don’t mean just to pick on Alsobrooks, because it’s pretty clear that it is a conscious decision by the Democratic leadership to use the phrase “distraction” to describe any Trump action that doesn’t fall within a narrow range of “kitchen table” issues. One way you can tell is that in this case it’s not even true — Trump quite clearly wants this to happen as quickly and quietly as possible!
Perhaps instead of issuing memos demanding that Democratic politicians stop using words they have stopped using or never used at all, an organization can put out a statement demanding a six-month moratorium on using the word “distraction.” As a compromise, perhaps we can at least agree to stop using it in cases when the Trump administration is lawlessly deploying state violence or attempting to do so? Substituting meta-commentary for direct criticism like this makes you sound like a ninny. If Trump is doing something bad just say it’s bad and why. If it’s an actual “distraction” you can just ignore it. In this case, it’s not a “distraction” of any kind — it’s a core example of the dangers of the Trump presidency.
okay ryan, but does it raise or lower trump's approval rating among people who sign up to take surveys in a digital ad-testing production system? that is the only question that matters
