World Series Game 3 Open Thread

It occurs to me that we have not served this community with open threads for the first Dodgers-Yankees World Series in 43 years. This is an oversight! I have in the past been accused by members of this blog of insufficient Anti-Yankeeism… my defense with respect to this particular rivalry is that I grew up in Northern California, and because of complex intra-family dynamics and an affection for the AL rather than the NL, I came to hate the Dodgers much more than I hated the Yankees (the Dodgers defeated the Yankees 4-2 in the 1981 WS). Let me be as clear as possible; despite this longstanding psychological infrastructure, I am absolutely cheering for the Dodgers to finish the Yankees quickly and efficiently this year! How can you cheer against Shohei Ohtani?

Folks are also welcome to discuss the Giants-Steelers game. I feel like the travails of Aaron Rodgers and the Jets have served to distract from the mess that the Giants have created for themselves this season, but the distraction can only last so long…
