As even Elon’s hand-picked lickspittles have inadvertently made clear in interminable Twitter threads about “censorship,” the argument that the old management at Twitter banned people based on narrow partisan politics and/or pure arbitrary whim was absolutely false; however imperfectly, they had policies and made a real effort to follow them.
This characterization is, however, an accurate description of Elon Musk’s Twitter:
According to the Washington Posr, Chad Loder was personally banned from Twitter by Elon Musk.

Their offense? Reporting on Elon’s fascist buddies like Libs of Tik Tok. I’m beginning to think that Taibbi, Weiss and Greenwald never actually gave a shit about “free speech” in the first place!
