MLK, real and imagined

It is Martin Luther King Day, which to Republicans means celebrating a man whose public career consisted of one speech, which contained one sentence:

These white folks love Santa Claus King, knowing full well they would have stood opposite everything King stood for. How do I know? Because, today, they stand opposite everything he stood for.
