No stimulus check, paltry UI extension, no state/local aid, but sweeping corporate liability — this isn’t even a serious basis to start negotiations. And it should make the importance of winning the Georgia runoffs clear — if Republicans hold the Senate, they will want more unemployment, more poverty, and more small business failures to handicap Biden; it’s that simple. And anyone who thinks Pelosi is the important obstacle to a new round of relief has a terminal case of Murc’s Law.
