The thing I can never quite believe — in the sense that I constantly forget it despite constant reminders — is just how stupid Trump really is. Evil, lazy, covetous, ignorant, tasteless: I get all that. But the sheer stupidity — how is it possible that someone this low-functioning could be in the position he’s in? Oh yeah, the meritocracy!

Speaking of which, the dum dums at Oxford Economics have a super clever electoral model that predicts Trump will get 35% of the popular vote in November, based on, among other things, the assumption that the results of presidential elections in the 1930s have relevance to American politics in 2020.
