My guess is that this isn’t actually some covert attempt to get around probable cause, but rather something that in its own way is even more disturbing: the failure of our heavily armed FIRST RESPONDERS (blessed be their names) to grasp that getting pulled over by the cops is an extremely stressful experience at best for large classes of people, such as those who are driving while black, or who look like they might be some variety of Mexican, i.e., Guatemalan Mexican, Salvadoran Mexican, Puerto Rican Mexican etc.

Lots of people of these people might actually prefer not to get pulled over by a cop to getting a coupon for a free drink at Circle K.

Also too, this is like some late (as if) capitalist nightmare fusion of authoritarianism and advertising.
