Donald Trump is a truly despicable human being

He’s a comprehensively evil person, who illustrates just about every possible major human failing in spades, and has literally no apparent virtues.

“Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda did not mince words in his message to Donald Trump following the President’s Saturday morning Twitter attacks on San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz.

“You’re going straight to hell, @realDonaldTrump,” the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright tweeted at the President. “No long lines for you. Someone will say, ‘Right this way, sir.’ They’ll clear a path.”

Let’s do this the old-fashioned way:

luxuria / Lust.
gula / Gluttony.
avaritia / Greed.
acedia / Sloth.
ira / Wrath.
invidia / Envy.
superbia / Pride.

This has all along been the key insight with Trump. He’s just genuinely one of the worst human being imaginable. If you think of amost *any* character trait – not even in politics, just in life – he’s awful. He’s stupid, ignorant, arrogant, racist, lacks any compassion, insulting, has no sense of reciprocity. He doesn’t care about the rule of law. He openly praises tyrants and despises democrats. He is openly wasteful and hateful but demands that no one take a cent from him or insult him in any way. Never earned anything, inherited his wealth. He only ever punches down, and only ever uses his power to aggrandize and help himself, never to help others. Not to mention he’s a sexual predator who has run through trophy wifes and appears to have raised monstrous children.

And it’s all out there. None of this was ever hidden. Trump and his family don’t even really try to deny the above; they revel in it. They are narcissists supreme. There is *nothing* admirable about this person. Nothing at all.

And he has passed it on to his children. I’m always reminded of a tweet that DT Jr. sent years ago where he was praising how the hired help worked for his family over Christmas or something, and he posted like “love loyalty to us!”

They are just the most openly despicable people. And so *obviously* so. They don’t even hide it. Their evil and hypocrisy is *open*. They praise themselves for it. I genuinely can’t think of a worse person in public life.
