By Fred Kaplan has a characteristically excellent column about the technical difficulties presented by the current missile defense system. For those who haven’t had the chance, read Kaplan’s Wizards of Armageddon. It’s a very good history of the first couple generations of nuclear strategists.
Don’t quite know what to make of this Robert Novak column. I’d like to think that the Bush administration could never do anything as irresponsible as a complete withdrawal following the election.
