  • With Arya as Inigo Montoya….

To be honest, I find that completely plausible. I really don’t think it is at all outside the reach of GRRM’s narrative intentions to have Arya, with her rapidly shrinking but still intact kill list, to be the trained assassin that will, when all is said and done, slit Cersei and/or Tyrion’s throats (I’m betting Tyrion will make it to the bloody, exhausted end, whenever that comes; no bets on Cersei, though)>

    • Duvall

Mild spoiler, but the old gypsy woman suggested a different path.

      • Domino

of whom do you speak of? I only watch the show, haven’t read the books

        • wjts

It’s in the books. As a child, Cersei went to a sort of fortune-teller. The fortune was unpleasant, but there’s reason to think it might be true.

          • Julian

I think it is also likely that Cersei is afraid of the wrong valonqhar, amirite?

            • wjts

Yeah, that’s pretty heavily implied. And the wrong queen, as well. Cersei is kind of dumb.

Is that fortuneteller now the matriarch of the Spicer clan, or is that a coincidence?

            • wjts

Not the matriarch (I don’t think), but no, not a coincidence (spoilers).

The way they’re training Arya to submit to the priesthood’s will, she may end up assassinating Sanya.

    • Cody

I assume you mean Sansa, and are you referring to the Red Priests or something else?

Otherwise, you’re a bit far ahead of the shows ;)

      • Another Anonymous

Doh, Sansa. Or whatever Littlefinger is calling her now.

Haven’t watched any of the shows, not being an HBOer.

    • Heron

That’s not going to completely work because, contrary to what everyone thinks, Arya is actually a quite excellent liar and a fine actor, plus she’ll always have that connection to Nymeria ensuring she never loses touch with herself completely. The Faceless Men are going to give Arya all their secrets, and she’s going to use them for her own ends.

  • Epicurus

    She’s a devil in a left-handed swordfight, I can tell you.

Lefties always have an advantage in sword fights. Totally not fair.

In Westeros, one can’t take decades to avenge one’s father’s death.

    • Julian

      She won’t.

Because the perp will be done in some other way first?

Yeah – I can totally see that.
