Attempted Bombing of North Texas Planned Parenthood Office

In case we needed a reminder of domestic, right-wing “Christian” terrorism, a wacko tossed a Molotov cocktail at a Planned Parenthood clinic in McKinney. Texas yesterday.

In other news, the Dallas suburbs are awful. Appropriately (or inappropriately), the linked webpage is sponsored by an upcoming gun show.

When my parents retired to FL (West of Lauderdale) in the 90s, one of the first bug billboards we saw was for the gun and knife show…

What we really need is someone from the Molotov Cocktail Association to say that the proprietors of the Planned Parenthood clinic should have had their own Molotov cocktails to fling back at their assailant. After all, that would absolutely have been their response if the attempted terrorist had used a firearm, instead.

Remember, a society armed with Molotov cocktails is a polite society. Not to mention a singed society.

Also a society where you never have to ask for a light.

When crude homemade incendiary devices are outlawed, only outlaws will have crude homemade incendiary devices.

Isn’t that the way it is now?

Via Wikipedia (“Anti-abortion violence”) with link:

“According to NAF, since 1977 in the United States and Canada, property crimes committed against abortion providers have included 41 bombings, 173 arsons, 91 attempted bombings or arsons, 619 bomb threats, 1630 incidents of trespassing, 1264 incidents of vandalism, and 100 attacks with butyric acid (“stink bombs”).”

Then, there are crimes against persons …

Why isn’t Operation rescue on the terrorist watch list?

  • sophist

    Not swarthy enough.

  • Kristin

It’s only terrorism if they’re brown.

  • Erik’s blah blah blah. Stupid autocorrect.

  • There are, of course, three varieties of terrorist: Muslim, Eco, and “some weirdo.”

    • mndean

      Umberto Eco is a terrorist?

      • Well, he can certainly destroy a good night of rest.

    • CJR

The “some weirdo” category used to be relegated to the guy with the self-published Bircher newsletter. Now it means. Now it’s inclusive of freshman members of Congress.

  • Caesaigh

sorry, that’s sooooo unfair to cockroaches…

  • Obviously this is the work of a lone wolf.

And his actions can in no way be connected with anyone, anywhere in the U.S.

Or maybe he’s a stealth liberal trying to make conservatives look bad.

No wait! He was trained by Muslims. Who are also liberal.

And if the liberals wouldn’t insist on slaughtering millions of helpless clot babies, this sort of thing wouldn’t happen…

  • I’ve spent plenty of time in the north Dallas suburbs, I assure you all. I know of where I speak. My brother lives there and I lived in Texas for 3 years.

  • The link goes to an entirely different article now.

There’s a long tradition of naming your development after whatever features you obliterated to build it.

Sioux City, SD comes to mind…

    • cer

Completely unrelated to your valid point, Sioux City is in Iowa (North Sioux City is in South Dakota and is a sort of suburb of SC). It is also a festering shit hole where all hope is obliterated. And, appropriately, houses the office of Steve King.

      • Bill Murray

If you’ve had the window open while driving through Sioux City, festering shithole is right on the money.

Fox News, et al have recently elevated Planned Parenthood to Evil status. Could there possibly be a connection?
