Really, “Republican legislator rewards prominent, wholly uncritical Republican propagandists with insider access” is far from the biggest story in the world; I have no idea why Altmeade won’t just admit it. But very privileged people in a permanent state of baseless grievance is pretty much what it means to be a Republican in 2011.
