I peed myself.
The ladyfriend and I recently made the announcement that we’re expecting in early September. I told her I hoped it would be twins so we could each choose one and pit them against each other in feats of strength and cunning. Alas, we will have to settle for sharing one.
I like the helmet.
Two babies enter . . . one baby leaves.
Zeke beat me to my comment. Babydome!
The actors were very cute and performed their roles well, but I had some problems with the Michael Bay-style directing. Too many quick cuts and overuse of the shaky cam.
Differences between me and Michael Bay:
1. My movies have coherent plots and realistic character motivations.
2. My actors are young and hungry; they’re not there just to cash a check.
3. My dialogue is far more crisp and snappy than any found in a Michael Bay movie.
4. In a fight scene, you can tell the difference between the antagonist and the protagonist.
5. Better soundtrack.
6. Uplifts the human spirit.
7. Critical raves but no commercial success. (Seriously, you gotta find a way to cash in on these two marvels.)
Actually, I’m not sure about #4: I assume the one without the helmet is the protagonist, as it’s usually a trait of the bad guy to go into a fight with extra armor or weapons, but I’m not entirely sure here.
You’re entirely correct, though, that your dialogue is better, but that’s a function of the writing and not the directing, which was the element I was criticizing.
Doesn’t seem fair to only give one of them a sparring helmet.
That’s an extra 2 minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for instigating while wearing a helmet.
