The Ugliest Coin Ever

There he is – the worst boss ever – leaning over your desk to shout “You’re fired!”
Apparently this is how Donald Trump wants to be remembered on a commemorative gold (GOLD!) coin for the US 250th anniversary.
The Trumpies are going through some contortions to get around the law.
An 1866 law called the Thayer Amendment states: “Only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on United States currency and securities.”
I won’t go into all of it, and I haven’t used one of my precious gift links for the NYT article above. The article says that the other side of the coin will have an eagle on it. I was thinking that this might be more appropriate.

That’s a dime that was made from 1916 to 1945. It was designed before Mussolini took up the fasces as his symbol.
Other presidents have been honored with a more classic look.

There is some question as to whether the Trump coin will be minted. Another thing to write Congress about. I really don’t see why anyone would want to represent himself this way.
