Not that there was any doubt about how Trump conceives of the relationship between himself and his supporters — ask anyone who paid to attend Trump University — as well as himself and the citizens he wants to govern again in general but this certainly undlines it:

You sometimes see people arguing that Trump doesn’t believe in anything, which ignores his career-long worship of dictators, which surely stems in large measure from a belief that he should be treated similarly.
