Rupert’s latest fraud

I wonder why some people were unwilling to take last-minute election ratfucking published in the New York Post at face value? Must have been a Deep State conspiracy:

Three men currently staying at a homeless shelter in Poughkeepsie said they were among a group of 15 recruited a few days ago to portray homeless veterans displaced from upstate hotels by incoming migrants.

In interviews, the men said two people came to the shelter Wednesday saying they had work for 15 men between the ages of 40 and 60. They would be paid $100 for two or three hours of effort, and no heavy lifting would be involved.

Their account was first reported by Mid Hudson News. On Friday afternoon, the state attorney general’s office confirmed it was examining the story.

The three unhoused men who spoke Friday with the Times Union were Douglas Tery, Eric Brown and William, who asked that his last name not be used. They said the recruiters appeared to be past residents of the shelter, but they could not recall their names.

The three men were among the 15 who agreed to participate in the Wednesday event. They waited two hours for transportation, during which time William — who told the Times Union he is on parole — asked the recruiters if the opportunity involved anything illegal.

“They said no, it’s aboveboard,” he said.

Eventually, the recruits were taken in three vehicles to the Daily Planet Diner near Lagrangeville, where they were joined by Sharon Toney-Finch, CEO of the Yerik Israel Toney Foundation (YIT), an Orange County nonprofit formed to raise awareness of premature births and help homeless and low-income military service veterans. Toney-Finch had been the primary source for the initial story about veterans being displaced by migrants, which the New York Post published on May 12. That story has since been debunked.

OK but surely this fraud wouldn’t immediately work on the country’s top political leadership…

I see no downside to the world’s economy resting in the hands of this dunce.
