That was something, huh? I guess we’ll come back to it next weekend, but Josh Allen is one of the most remarkable development stories I’ve ever seen, and gotta give credit to the Bills for seeing it, because I sure didn’t.

Eagles (+7.5) over BUCS This is strictly a “I can’t lay that many points” pick. I expect Tampa to win, but with their injury luck having run out and the Eagles able to chew clock with their running game I think the game will at least be competitive.

49ers (+3) over COWBOYS The only actual wager I made today is 49ers +140. That’s not a knock on the Cowboys, who I liked before the season and actually finished first in DVOA. But whether it’s lingering effects of his calf injury or schematic adjustments, Dak has been notably less effective since coming back, San Francisco is also a top 5 weighted DVOA team, and while the Dallas defense has been good under Quinn they have trouble with YAC, which the Niners of course excel in. Plus you get to bet against Mike McCarthy — I’ll take a flier on those odds.

CHIEFS (-12.5) over Steelers I can’t believe this is the prime time game. I do want to see Roethlisberger humiliated in his last game for obvious reasons, so hopefully the Chiefs won’t have one of those days. I will say, though, that Mike Tomlin is the most underrated coach in the NFL — I have no idea how this roster is anywhere near the playoffs.
