Open Thread #5: You forgot the poles edition

He’s deleted it, but screenshots are forever:
We knew this was coming, but let’s say it again: *Every* state keeps counting votes after the polls close; and 20 of them count mail-in ballots sent on time that arrive within the next few days.
There’s *nothing* unusual or nefarious about *either* of those things. pic.twitter.com/lHfx7iYhjU— Steve Vladeck (@steve_vladeck) November 4, 2020
Earlier in the evening, I talked about a “Southeastern” polling error, but given that the outstanding ballots seem to give Biden at least an even shot in Georgia and that NC is still fairly close with mail-in balots still to be counted it’s really just Florida that was way off (as was the Rio Grande Valley.) So reason for at least cautious optimism, particularly with the AZ-NE(2)-WI-MI path to making PA irrelevant still viable. And remember before writing off the Senate that there will be two runoffs in a state in which at a minimum Biden appears to have been very competitive.
Fox News calls Nebraska-02 for Biden. It is now very simple:
If Biden wins Wisconsin, Nevada and either Michigan or Georgia, he wins the election, regardless of Pennsylvania or North Carolina.— Cliston Brown (@ClistonBrown) November 4, 2020
This is important because if the election comes down to PA it’s much easier to steal. Much harder to ratfuck the election when you’d need multiple states and Biden is ahead in some of the initial counts.
