And now it’s the tallest

Four years ago, 63 million Americans affirmatively decided that this incredibly narcissistic sociopath should be president of the United States:
40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan, and it was actually before the World Trade Center the tallest, and and then when they built the World Trade Center it became known as the second-tallest, and now it’s the tallest.

It’s important to remember that nothing that Trump has said or done in the last four years can come as any sort of surprise to anyone who paid attention to him in the years before he became president.
He’s the kind of man who, when thousands of fellow residents of his native city have just been murdered that very day, not only thinks about the fact that now he owns (or more likely “owns”) the tallest building in the area, but says it out loud. That is what seemed most significant to him at the moment.
And again, this is completely normal behavior for him.
And he’s probably going to get more than 63 million people to vote for him over the next few weeks — in large part not despite who he is, but because he’s the kind of person who both thinks and says things like this.
