Somebody close to Kavanaugh is saying to expect him to come in “a little hot,” as in his denials are going to be even more strident.  I’ve said all along that this seems like an unwise strategy in comparison to the “rough horseplay I’m sorry if there was a misunderstanding I’ve sobered up” slightly teary-eyed faux-confession route, but I guess that’s foreclosed after a couple of weeks of total stonewalling, though consistency counts for nothing with the lunatic base so who knows? (OTOH total denial no matter how implausible is always Trump’s strategy, and indeed what he recommends specifically when dealing with accusations of sexual misconduct, which I suppose is like taking free throw shooting tips from Steph Curry).
