Friday New Cat Blogging

Some of you may think it’s weird that the new cat living at our house looks almost exactly like our old one who gave me the slip last summer. But here’s what happened: my littlest brother, who also likes Himalayans, decided that it would be a great idea to give my older brother (the itinerant Marine) a cat as a birthday present a couple of years back. Well, ever since my older brother redeployed from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey to Jakarta, “Snowflake” has been shuttled around from sibling to sibling. It’s our turn to foster, and we are pretty ecstatic.

Now, I know he looks a little bit drugged, spastic or deranged respectively in these pictures, but I’ve convinced the children and myself that’s just because he doesn’t like the camera flash and/or is temporarily knackered from traveling. But we’re sure he’ll soon adapt to our quiet and tranquil home. At least, so far there have been no injuries involving him and the dog.
