This is probably a good thing, if the owners agree to the deal. Part of me is a little upset that the players agreed to a cap, but it’s the American Dream dilemma (at an infinitely lower level of desperation); the owners weren’t going to break, so you have to take what you can get. This was the logical outcome earlier in the week, so it’s good at least that they were smart enough to back off.
