Pappas
By Is it just me, or is the Pappas broadcasting decision to give substantial free airtime to local GOP candidates much, much more appalling and indefensible than the whole Sinclair-Swiftboat affair (in substance not scope)? I mean, at least Sinclair can offer a logically (but not substantively) plausible defense of their decision. Pappas is simply giving one side lots of free time directly, period. This story suggests this is, in fact, illegal under federal election law, as I would have suspected. Is there any other way to interpret this?
