15 Years (What A Surprise) And This Other Thing of Ours

We’ve been doing this for a long time, haven’t we? The Expos were still a major league team when we started.Thanks to everyone for reading.

I haven’t said much here about being one of these lucky duckies, not least because my settlement precludes me from saying much about it. I’ve been fortunate to land what I would consider in the 99th percentile of contingent positions in my field, but it remains a contingent position. And it’s also a reminder that even “secure” positions in contemporary academia aren’t really secure. Which makes me extra grateful for your support, without which I really couldn’t continue to do this.

In addition to the other means of support, you can by our book — I wish the chapter on the Roberts Court’s minimalism was less prescient and timely! — or those of my colleagues on the masthead. I always love getting stuff from my wish list (as do my colleagues etc.) And most of all I’m grateful to everyone for making this a valuable community that has taught me a lot and helped sharpen my thinking about a lot of things for 15 years.
