A not very good picture of the Lordstown GM factory. 12/24/2018

Here he is Tweetertantrumping at the president of UAW Local 1112.

Democrat UAW Local 1112 President David Green ought to get his act together and produce. G.M. let our Country down, but other much better car companies are coming into the U.S. in droves. I want action on Lordstown fast. Stop complaining and get the job done! 3.8% Unemployment!

But of course he isn’t telling workers to take over the factory. They might make tumbrils and guillotines. Or super-complicated airplanes, and that’s not MAGA! That Tweet was another example of the full extent of his leadership abilities. Here is an earlier, equally sensible order to GM.

Because the economy is so good, General Motors must get their Lordstown, Ohio, plant open, maybe in a different form or with a new owner, FAST! Toyota is investing 13.5 $Billion in U.S., others likewise. G.M. MUST ACT QUICKLY. Time is of the essence!

And that’s all he can bring to bear on any problem more difficult than which golf shoes to wear (and he may have someone to help him with that): Yap at the underlings to fix a problem that he couldn’t begin to understand if someone explained it to him with charts, rewards and punishments. Then go play golf.

What happens next is of minimal concern to him. If the underlings do fix the problem to his satisfaction, he takes the credit. After all, he told them what to do. If the underlings fail to fix the problem to his satisfaction it’s their fault, not his. He told them to fix it. In this case, he’d probably be content to blame Green for anything and everything that goes wrong because like all bullies, Commandant Petite Main always goes for the target that’s least able to strike back. Savvier Republicans will blame unions. GM will make a huge donation to the GOP and all will be forgiven.
