Once the tunnel from the White House to the Bureau of Engraving is complete, Emperor Gropentine won’t need to bother with budgets. Until then, we’ll see some unsubtle attempts to grab as much cash as possible. For example:

President Donald Trump’s 2020 budget proposal will include $100 million for a global women’s fund spearheaded by his daughter Ivanka Trump.

A White House official told The Associated Press that the budget, expected to be released Monday, will include the funding for the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative. The administration last month launched the government-wide project, led by the Republican president’s daughter and senior adviser.

Everyone knows that Faildaughter Trump, she of the defunct fashion line and banned from leadership of NY-based charities along with the Failson, Jr. and Gummmy fame should not be given access to that type of money.

All she’ll do is steal it and then pout when rude people who aren’t even fauxllionaires ask nosy questions like “Where’s the $100 million in taxpayer money you received last year?” Although by that point it will likely be well more than $100 mil because if anyone from that family gets one hand on $100 mil they will definitely try to get their other hand on another $100 mil. And they’ll start grabbing with their fucking toes.

But what is the money that would quickly be spent on poorly itemized operating expenses and a whole lot of miscellaneous allegedly for, anyway?

The new initiative aims to help 50 million women in the developing world get ahead economically over the next six years.

$100 million divided by 50 million people over a very optimistic six years is … Well, American money goes a long way in the sort of places DOPUS has dubbed shitholes. And $100 million to one country with a developing economy such as Saudi Arabia or Russia makes a lovely grift. I mean gift.

It involves the State Department, the National Security Council and other agencies. And it aims to coordinate current programs and develop new ones to help women in areas such as job training, financial support and legal or regulatory reforms.

I’d be more more worried about the sort of legal reforms an administration that has implemented a global gag rule would support if I thought any of money would be used for its stated purpose. Of course, it’s entirely possible that she would claim her pet project is helping to fund some misogynistic trash policy without handing over a single dime.
