Who Will Think of the Butt-less?!!

Tragic.

When it comes right down to it, the hubbub over twitter “mobs” and the SJW-sponsored genociding of fun comes from the idea that social media platforms–and to lesser extent media punditry–give voice to the formerly voiceless. Or at least the formerly often-muted.

I can understand why it might be confusing and irritating for white men and boys. You think you’re the masters of the universe, and then a bunch of people gang up on you to tell you that your poop that doesn’t smell like a fine beaujolais and that not every idea you have is genius.

For some people, this new world where we acknowledge the wants, needs and frustrations of people unlike ourselves has provided an opportunity for humility and growth. Sometimes even silence, which makes listening a whole lot easier. For most normal people, simply shutting up and opening up their ears is easy! But apparently many white men think that if they exercise caution or self-censor even a tiny bit, their butts might fall off. It’s basically “Center my needs and wants at all times or my butt will fall off. Do you want my butt to fall off, MOM?”

“Sure, progress is great, but if that progress inconveniences me in any way for one 1/1millionth of a nanosecond I will holler like a dog whose butt just fell off.”

Why am I talking about this? Because Jay Fielden’s butt just fell off.

I marvel at the idea that Esquire thought “What we need to do is highlight the trials and tribulations of the age cohort that gave us a years-long internet harassment campaign against young women. Social media has been bad for them.” It’s not tone-deafness that’s motivating this kind of journalism–it’s trolling.
