How come it’s mostly people with money who think that money is the same thing as brains?

‘Second-generation family business’ is just about the perfect environment to catch that but

    • rea

well, it’s srue not people with brains thinking that brains are the same thing as money.

    • DrDick

That is because the wealthy are all social darwinists at heart and believe that their wealth is both a consequence and proof of their superior natural abilities. That the rest of us are not rich is because we are weak, lazy, stupid, and constitutionally depraved.

    For ‘but’ read ‘bug’.

  • Malaclypse

How come MoDo did not write this article first?

  • Warren Terra

This is the most misogynist Op-Ed I’ve read not written by Maureen Dowd. I feel the appropriate response is to emulate the late great Molly Ivins, strike a blow for gender equality, and say of Ms. Dvorak: “Sheesh, what an asshole”.

The title need only have read The stupidest thing written about UVA so far. Courtesy of Fred Hiatt is automatically assumed. Actually, Hiatt’s hand should be automatically assumed when it comes to the stupidest thing written about anything.

  • Well, this is in the top 3:

Please read comments- at least the 20 or so that I read were giving the slap to the WSJ Op-Ed writer.

    • Cody

I had to stop reading the comments, they were all just saying the same thing “This article is completely fabricated.”

I have to agree, but no one was getting into any arguments! Where’s the fun in that?

It looks like the public pressure worked – the UVA BOV votes to reinstate Sullivan – http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2012/06/26/155791308/university-of-virginia-reinstates-president-after-public-outcry

    Dvorak writes:

But hold on. Another study released just this month and written about by our leadership columnist Jena McGregor said that Queen Bees are a dying breed, that the myth of woman-on-woman scheming and backstabbing in the workplace is on the wane.

    commenter exco sums up:

“Maybe, we are slowly coming to a place where an upheaval like this is about two leaders clashing, and not two women clashing,” you say.

And maybe we’d get to that place much faster without articles like this that manage to demean the accomplishments of two successful female leaders.

If you want to find the Queen Bee in this instance, go look in the mirror!”
