    What a beatdown THAT was.

I can still see the case for Okla. State as # 3 – they lost to an unranked team – but it’s a closer call than I would’ve imagined before last night’s game.

When Miles didn’t pull Jefferson after their 1st possession of the 3d quarter, I knew it was over.

I’m not sure the other guy would have been much better, but I’m shocked that he stuck with Jefferson.

That was basically the equivalent of UConn-Butler.

  2. strannix says:

Damn, my furious comeback came two points short.

This is the first time I’ve participated in one of these, and I have to say, I like the confidence system. I didn’t miss any of the games I had in the 30s, I got two wrong of the games I had in the 20s, 3 wrong of the games in the 10s, and 6 wrong of the games I had ranked in the single digits.

So in the end, I lost because I got too many wrong, but I’m content that my confidence levels more or less tracked with the actual outcomes.

Also – screw you, Mark Richt.

Woo, achieved my ‘top ten’ goal.

  4. Njorl says:

    Alabama Crimson Tide 21
    LSU Deacon Blues 0

I heard on the radio this morning that every Nick Saban recruiting class since 2000 has won a national championship.

  5. john theibault says:

FWIW, I set up an entry that scrupulously followed the Las Vegas Line as of the last day before the first bowl game — largest point spread was highest confidence, lowest spread was lowest. I was curious how it would rate. It finished with 480 points, and would have been eighth.
