Harry Reid has won almost every primary the Tea Party’s played a role in this year.
The Democrats (especially DE Democrats) are quite lucky because their candidate recruitment has been pathetic. They have always immediately conceded to Castle and this year they had no back-up plan when Beau Biden decided not to run. However, DE is one of the few places where the GOP is consistently more incompetent than the Democratic establishment. No one is talking about it (since the Dem is likely to win anyway) but the GOP establishment candidate for the House lost to another tea bagging moron. There was a lot of anger about how the GOP chose candidates and a lot of Republicans didn’t give a shit who was running, they were not voting for the party’s candidate. It will be interesting to see how the GOP handles O’Donnell’s insanity. I hope we see a lot more of things like this: http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2010/09/fox-should-suspend-rove-and-investigate-cornyn-must-resign.html
In many ways, this election has been the Republicans’ to loose, given the at best mediocre performance of the Democrats in Washington over the past two years and the lack of a coherent message going into the general election. I applaud the Republican choice to enthusiastically embrace that opportunity (I thought the Dems were the only ones who coveted electoral suicide).
For some morning giggles, check out the comments on Levin’s post.
I don’t know if those are real conservatives or really good trolls, but damn, I thought I hated the modern Republican Party. A number of those guys are openly crowing for the GOP to “go the way of the Whigs”.
Poe’s Law, I suppose. Still. Damn.
Thank God we have Chris Matthews to tell us what female voters really want.
I know, right? Wealthy middle aged white guys who trumpet their blue collar ethnic roots should always be your first source for in depth analysis of feminism.
I applaud the Republican voters’ choice to bravely embrace unelectability and the prospect of a permanent Democratic majority.

I’m still, hours and hours later, reeling from the fact that I actually agree with Karl Rove about something.
