ACORN is as all-powerful as ever!

While the point of this post is well taken, I always find jokes like this a bit off putting. What happened to ACORN is a huge f*cking tragedy. There are tens of thousands of poor people across the country who aren’t getting home loans and EITC payments and bank accounts and just minimal day-to-day attention from their elected officials because of the destruction of ACORN.

You all have written dozens of posts mocking the right for ACORN hysteria and none, as far as I can tell, on what the organization actually did or why it mattered. Funny set of priorities.
