Due to popular request, JS-Kit’s relationship with Lawyers, Guns and Money has been terminated.

I hope you people are happy now…

My happiness doesn’t depend on commenting software, but wp comments do seem less annoying, modulo the nits I picked this morning on the previous “new site” thread.

  2. MikeJ says:

Heck, I’ll add another suggestion on top of the previous load: the comment counter seems misplaced. I’d prefer it next to the “View Post”(add comment) button. That’s just me.

It would also be nice if the LGM banner at the top of the page were a clickable link to the home page. I realise the breadcrumbs have a link back, but I don’t want to look around for it. I just want the nice big thing that says “Lawyers, Guns, and Money” to take me to the front page of the LGM website.

  3. Frak yeah, this is much better.

  4. elm says:

    Woohoo! Oh, happy day!

  5. Steve H in SLC says:

It might also be a good idea to post a link to this site at the old address, so people who wander over there using their old bookmarks can find their way here.

  6. Jonathan W says:

So the new site is no longer aware of all internet traditions?

  7. John says:

I think WordPress offers a superior commenting system to JS-Kit (I say as a blogger with JS-Kit on my own blog). WP’s is simple and inviting. It’s still a toss-up whether Blogger or JS-Kit offers a worse commenting system, as far as I’m concerned.

Complaining about commenting systems is an internet tradition, so I think the new LGM is off to a good start (in answer to Jonathan W).

    And is it possible…

Is this really truly a blockquote?

All praise the demise of JS-Kit, hanger of webpages!

  10. brandon says:

Ooh, you killed it? Did it suffer? Please tell me it suffered!

  11. Warren Terra says:

    You, sir, are my hero.

(and, speaking as one of the offenders, may I congratulate you on selecting “popular request” as an especially nice euphemism for “persistent whining”.

  12. Warren Terra says:

Just a test to see whether I can comment using my phone’s Opera Mini browser (I can’t “Reply”, apparently).

  13. McKingford says:

Does this mean the old comments have disappeared into the ether?

    • Incontinentia Buttocks says:

I have a js-kit comment from earlier today in the thread below this one that appears to have been converted.

The world is, indeed, a better place.

      Thanks, Lawyers, Guns, and Monies!

  14. DrDick says:

    Hallelujah! We are redeemed!

  15. Very nice. Very clean. Very JS-Kit free!

(I did like the old banner though…)

  16. rea says:

    Oh, mygod! It’s not yellow!

  17. Halloween Jack says:

    The dragon had it coming.
