The Mock Turtle finds Professer InstaHack trying to spin the recent British elections as a political triumph for Blair’s support of the Iraq war, using his time-honored technique of printing emails with glaring factual howlers. He uses classic projection in assuming that the “British” tendency would be to vote against Blair in spite if his position on the war (despite the fact that anyone with even a passing knowledge of British politics would know that the opposite was vastly more likely, and that the hypothesis of his idiot reader makes it rather difficult to explain why it was the Lib Dems who got the lion’s share of the voters that left Labour.) And then, his emailers haven proven not to have the faintest idea what they’re talking about and he haven proven to be lazily willing to accept any information at face value as long as it confirms his political biases, he then maligns the BBC, using the usual double standards he applies to the credibility of his sources. And for the coup de gras, he trots out the stab-in-the-back routine he wasn’t able to deploy after the American elections. Truly, a remarkable performance.
